DIG.UA Privacy Policy

1. What data we collect

  • Account data: email address (for authentication), passkey credentials (if enabled).
  • Search queries: domains, IP addresses, and other queries you look up on the service.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type (User-Agent), pages visited, timestamps.
  • Cookies: authentication tokens, security verification, user preferences (theme, language).
  • Payment data: Stripe processes payments; we only store the last 4 digits of the card and transaction metadata.

2. How we use data

  • Providing WHOIS, DNS, and domain lookup services.
  • User authentication and account management.
  • Storing search history (for logged-in users).
  • Processing payments and order fulfillment.
  • Abuse protection and bot detection.
  • Web analytics (Google Analytics).
  • AI article generation about domains (using aggregated technical data).

3. Cookies

We use the following types of cookies:

  • Necessary: auth_token (authentication), ts_ok (security verification), dig_ht (signed security-verification token, 30 minutes), PHPSESSID (session), dig_lang (language preference).
  • Functional: dig-theme (dark/light mode).
  • Analytics: Google Analytics cookies for traffic analysis.

4. Third-party services

  • Cloudflare — CDN, DDoS protection, Turnstile CAPTCHA.
  • Google Analytics — web analytics.
  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • MaxMind GeoIP — IP geolocation.
  • AI API providers — article generation (domain technical data only, no personal data).

5. Data storage duration

Account data is stored as long as the account exists. Search logs are kept for 12 months. Technical logs are kept for 90 days. You can request account deletion at any time.

7. Security

We use HTTPS encryption, secure cookies (HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite), Cloudflare WAF, and rate limiting to protect your data.
