A Domain with International Flair

In the ever-evolving world of web hosting, inhosted.com stands out as a curious case of cross-border operations. Registered over 14 years ago, this domain has quietly powered cloud hosting solutions while juggling ties to Ukraine, Scotland, and servers in France. As of April 2026, it's actively serving up promises of "easy and affordable" web hosting from an unlikely Edinburgh address.

Origins in Ukraine

Diving into the WHOIS records reveals inhosted.com was created on April 28, 2012, by Hosting Ukraine LLC, a Kyiv-based registrar. The domain's registrant details are shielded by privacy protection, but point back to the same Ukrainian outfit at a PO Box in Kiev (postal code 04112). It's set to expire on April 28, 2027, with the last update in September 2025—keeping it fresh for another year.

The DNS setup screams Ukrainian influence: nameservers ns1.fastdns.hosting, ns2.fastdns.hosting, and ns3.fastdns.hosting are managed through tools linked to adm.tools, a popular Ukrainian DNS service. Mail flows through mx.ukraine.com.ua, and SPF records include Google's suite (v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ~all), hinting at professional email handling.

French Servers, Scottish Facade

Despite the Ukrainian backbone, the domain resolves to IP addresses in France: A record 164.132.200.91 and AAAA 2001:41d0:1004:145b::, both hosted by OVH SAS (AS16276) in the Europe/Paris timezone. OVH, a major European cloud provider, lends reliability but raises eyebrows about the geographic mismatch.

Landing on inhosted.com today, visitors are greeted by a minimalist page titled INHOSTED LP with the bold H1: Cloud Hosting Solutions. The site pitches "Making web hosting easy and affordable," complete with a contact form. But the footer lists an address at 5 St. Vincent Street, Edinburgh, EH3 6SW, Scotland, alongside contact@inhosted.com and a UK phone +44.1315070780. Copyright dates back to 2015, suggesting a long-dormant but stable presence—no flashy updates or blog posts here.

What Does INHOSTED LP Do?

INHOSTED LP positions itself as a cloud hosting provider, likely offering virtual servers, shared hosting, or VPS tailored for small to medium sites. The sparse homepage doesn't detail pricing or features, but the Google Site Verification TXT record (google-site-verification=UMYOxrHmluNOHqJVVGX5KMPGY3P_KEpXxkuPz0uxo3A) implies integration with Google Workspace or Analytics. No major security flags like DNSSEC signing, though—it's unsigned, a minor nitpick in 2026's standards.

Interestingly, while Hosting Ukraine LLC manages the domain, the Scottish LP (Limited Partnership) branding evokes a classic offshore vibe. Is it a legit UK entity leveraging Ukrainian cost efficiencies and French infrastructure? Public records don't scream red flags, but the setup feels like a lightweight operation—perhaps reselling OVH resources under a rebranded banner.

Recent Whispers and Stability

As of mid-April 2026, DNS records were last refreshed showing steady A/AAAA/MX configs. No dramatic news, but the domain's 14-year uptime (active for 371 days post-last renewal) speaks to quiet reliability. In a hosting market dominated by giants like AWS or DigitalOcean, inhosted.com flies under the radar—perfect for budget-conscious devs avoiding big-name lock-in.

One light chuckle: a Ukrainian domain dressed in kilts, hosted in France? It's like a global game of hosting hot potato, but it works.

For domain sleuths, inhosted.com exemplifies how the internet ignores borders. Watch this space—or Edinburgh postcode—for any expansions.
